Tilt: A Retrospective 2008 - 2018

Olga Cironis, Caitlin Yardley, Paul Caporn, Tom Muller, Eva Fernandez, Holly Story, Merrick Belyea, Andy Quilty, Jon Tarry, and Sandra Hill

1 December 2018 - 20 January 2019

For the 2018 Tilt exhibition, we look back on the last ten years of this significant program.

The Tilt program is an annual exhibition series developed in 2008 by the Heathcote Museum & Gallery to support local artists and site-specific art practice. Each year an established local artist is invited to respond to Kooyagoordup / Point Heathcote, with its many layered history, by creating a new body of work for a solo exhibition, a selection of which is acquired for the City of Melville Art Collection. The Tilt program presents audiences with the artists' varied perspectives, ideas and creative responses to this historically rich site.

'Tilt - A Retrospective' brings together a selection of artwork created by the past ten Tilt artists during the program. Many of the pieces on view come from the City of Melville Art Collection, displaying the range of work collected by the City from this program. The exhibition also features a small selection of artwork newly created by the artists in response to this exhibition.
